Hi SunnyPeaches,
There may be a lot of corrections and additions to these minutes. I was operating on 2 hours sleep, a trying family situation, a 2 1/2 year old adorable grandson, and a position at the meeting where we couldn't hear. I guessed a lot at what was being said (actually Bob does that all the time).

The SunnyPeaches Annual Business Meeting was held Saturday, January 9 at 5:30 at Pecos. The following families were in attendance: Abrahamson, Alonsious, Andersen, Baine, Blanchard, Casper, Codden, Crosby, Culpepper, Durrett, Gillespie (Gene and Reba Jean), Gillespie (Richard, Stacy, Kaitlyn, Abbie), Griego, Hinely, Holloway, Johnson, King, McKechnie (plus David), Merritt, Millar, Morris, Nix, Patterson, Rawlins, Scott, Sires, Stephens, Strauss, and Thompson.
Frank Nix offered the blessing before our wonderful barbecue supper. Pecos generously provided the barbecue as they have in the past. We SunnyPeaches added our outstanding side dishes and desserts. We do eat well!
Official Minutes (sort of)
President Larry Culpepper opened our business meeting (for the last time) at 6:53 P.M. He led us in the Pledge of Allegiance. Then Ken Adams presented a check for $150 to the club. He was in his element with a captive audience as he presented many door prizes. Larry read the birthdays and anniversaries from December and January. The minutes from the November SunnyPeaches meeting were approved. Reba Jean announced that the club has $304.02, but there were some expenses still out.
Frank Nix was collecting dues for 2010. Larry presented Rayburn and Carole Casper with something (I didn't hear what) for being the only couple who camped every campout. Sam and Brenda Crosby were runners-up. They attended all campouts, but did not camp at Victoria Bryant. Good job Caspers and Crosbys! Larry's last job as president was to name the slate of nominees for office for 2010. President - John Andersen, Vice-President - David Hinely, Treasurer- Frank Nix, Secretary - Bonnie McKechnie. There were no further nominations. The nominations were closed and approved.
President John Andersen (how does that feel, John?) took over the meeting at that point. He first presented Larry with a plaque and thanked him for his service to SunnyPeaches. He elaborated on the schedule of campouts for 2010. They are as follows: I will not go into much detail since e-mails will follow closer to the designated time.

Sadly we are losing Ben and Nita as members. Reba Jean asked if the club had funds available to purchase a microphone, as many people could not hear what was being said. (I would have seconded that if I could have heard it.)
Bonnie pointed out that a thank you from Sam and Brenda's daughters was on display on the table. They thanked the club for the generous contributions to the Three Day Cancer Walk.
Sunnypeaches will celebrate its tenth anniversary in 2010. Everette Stephens will head a committee to plan a celebration. Please contact him with your ideas, and he is especially interested in any photos you may have of the campouts.
The SunnyBrook International Rally will be October 4 - 8.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:45
SunnyPeaches Happenings: (I didn't have much opportunity to mingle and hear all the news.)
The Panama Canal travelers (Hinely, Sires, Thompsons) are back with stories of a wonderful trip.
The Australia travelers (Spoonemores) are still out of the country.
Don and Tommie celebrated their Golden Anniversary by taking a cruise.
Bob and Bonnie's daughter-in law Catherine and unborn baby (Grace-Ann) are in need of prayers. Catherine is in Emory for hospital bedrest for the duration of her pregnancy. She has a complication called previa placenta. Big scare Sunday night when doctors were afraid they'd have to do a C-Section and deliver then. The baby is only 25 weeks along. If you wish to get updates there is a website http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/catherinemckechnie .
Happy 2010 everyone. I will not take offense to corrections or additions.
Bonnie McKechnie,
Secretary
