Sunny Peaches RV Club By-Laws

As Amended March 2006

ARTICLE I -- Name

Section 1: The name of this non-profit organization shall be the Sunny Peaches RV Club, Chapter 24 of the International Sunny Travelers RV Club.

ARTICLE II -- Purpose

Section 1: The purpose of this non-profit organization shall be to provide opportunities for its members to enjoy good fellowship and pleasant use of their recreational vehicles at regularly scheduled rendezvous and to set an example of courtesy on the highways and of model conduct at meeting sites and in public and private campgrounds.

ARTICLE III -- Membership

Section 1: Membership in this chapter is limited to those persons or families who own a SunnyBrook manufactured recreational vehicle.
Section 2: Members must be a current member in good standing of the International Sunny Travelers RV Club.
Section 3: All new members may be assigned to area sub-chapters by the state chapter on a basis of geographic location. All members have the option of changing to another sub-chapter.
Section 4: Membership is terminated when a member sells his/her SunnyBrook manufactured recreational vehicle, resigns, or pays no dues in accordance with Article IV.
Section 5: In the event, any active member passes away, a donation of $50.00 will be made, towards a memorial, gift, or other such action deemed appropriate by the surviving family, by the Treasurer of the Sunny Peaches RV Club as an expression of our club's collective sympathy.
Section 6: In the event, any active member's immediate family (mother, father, children) passes away, a sympathy or other type of appropriate card will be sent to the active member(s), by the Secretary of the Sunny Peaches RV Club as an expression of our club's collective sympathy.

ARTICLE IV -- Dues

Section 1: The dues of this organization shall be $20.00 per recreational vehicle per year. These dues are in addition to the amount paid to the International Sunny Travelers RV Club.
Section 2: Dues shall be payable at the Annual Business Meeting, to be held at the beginning of each calendar year, or by February 1 of each calendar year and shall be paid to the Treasurer.
Section 3: Any member whose dues remain unpaid thirty (30) days after the due date shall be so notified by the Treasurer. If the dues are still unpaid sixty (60) days after this notice, the member shall be dropped from the rolls of this organization.

ARTICLE V -- Officers

Section 1: The officers of this organization shall be President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. (The offices of Secretary and Treasurer may be combined into one office.)
Section 2: The officers shall be elected at the Annual Business meeting for terms of one year, but shall hold office until the successors are duly elected and installed. No elected officer may serve more than two consecutive terms in any one office.
Section 3: The new officers will assume their duties under new business at the Annual Meeting.
Section 4: A simple majority of the vote of the active membership attending the Annual Business meeting shall elect any officer.

ARTICLE VI -- Duties of Officers

Section 1: President: The president is charged with the overall operation of the club and is to provide leadership and direction for the membership. He/she shall coordinate the activities of the club and be the liaison officer with the International Sunny Travelers RV Club and area sub-chapters.
Section 2: Vice President: The Vice President shall be available to replace the President should such a need arise, and assist the President in matters pertinent to the operation of the club.
Section 3: Secretary: The Secretary shall record the minutes of all chapter business and Executive Committee meetings, receive all dues from area sub-chapters and keep an up-to-date roster of all family members in good standing.
Section 4: Treasurer: The Treasurer shall receive all monies collected by the Secretary and other chapter representatives. Such monies shall be deposited in a bank account convenient to the Treasurer, in the name of Sunny Peaches Chapter, Sunny Travelers RV Club. Authorized signatures capable of signing checks shall be those either of the Treasurer, President, or Vice President.

ARTICLE VII -- Committees

Section 1: The chapter officers shall constitute the Executive Committee. The past chapter presidents may attend the Executive Committee meetings. There shall be only one vote per area on matters concerning chapter business. The chapter President shall chair this Committee. The Executive Committee shall be the governing body of the club, giving approval to the actions of the President and other officers. This Committee shall approve all regulations and other documents of governance. The Committee shall oversee the operation of all club activities and shall meet at least twice yearly.
Section 2: In addition to the Executive Committee, the President may appoint other committees to perform special projects and shall be an ex-officio member of all committees.

ARTICLE VIII -- Meetings

Section 1: Chapter business meetings shall be held a minimum of eight (8) times yearly. An Annual Business meeting will be held at the beginning of each calendar year. Notification of meetings, dates and times will be published in the Chapter Newsletter and on the chapter website in order that members may attend and participate in the meetings even if they are unable to attend a campout.

ARTICLE IX -- Conduct of Meeting

Section 1: Fifty percent (50%) of the members present at a regularly scheduled business meeting shall constitute a quorum.
Section 2: The rules of parliamentary procedure contained in the latest edition of Robert’s Rules of Order shall govern this organization in all case in which they are applicable, except when they are inconsistent with this by-laws.

   C. Reports of Officers
   D. Reports of Committees
   E. Announcements
   F. Unfinished Business
   G. New Business
   H. Adjournment

ARTICLE X -- Newsletters

Section 1: A chapter newsletter shall be published quarterly on the chapter website during the months of Chapter meetings and made available to all members. At other times members will be informed by e-mail.
Section 2: When a Chapter Sunny Times Reporter has been appointed, a copy of the newsletter shall be used by the Reporter to prepare an article from the chapter for the Sunny Times, the international Sunny Travelers RV Club’s official quarterly newsletter.

ARTICLE XI -- Dissolution

Section 1: In the event of the dissolution of this organization, funds shall be disbursed to one or more similar non-profit organizations at the discretion of the Executive Committee.

ARTICLE XII -- Amendments

Section 1: These By-laws may be amended at any regular business meeting by a two-thirds vote of the members present, provided that the proposed amendment shall have been submitted in writing and read at the previous regular meeting or mailed to all members at least thirty (30) days) prior to the meeting which acts upon it.
